Our client is a global trading and investment organization within a diversified industrial group, with core activities spanning international commodities and materials distribution. The chemical trading division focuses on organic chemical products and petrochemical derivatives, including key intermediates and solvents used across industries such as plastics, coatings, automotive, and electronics manufacturing.
The business operates through global sourcing, arbitrage-driven distribution, and structured supply agreements, with a strong emphasis on supply chain optimization, market balancing, and price risk management in volatile commodity markets.


Key Objectives:

Our client is looking to develop the European market for the sale of Methyl Methacrylate (MMA). To be successful in this role, the candidate should have a background in chemical trading and a strong understanding of the Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) market. The initial focus will be on developing the Antwerp–Rotterdam–Amsterdam (ARA) region. Experience working with East Asian companies is considered an advantage.


Key Responsibilities:

• Regular customer visits and sales of their product range as well as the acquisition and performance of sales-oriented tasks through regular telephone customer contacts.
• Responsibility for sales, turnover and contribution margin for the assigned area.
• Active sales acquisition and identification of sales opportunities.
• Submission of offers and price negotiations with the customer on site.
• Obtaining market information as well as determining and monitoring the competitive situation.
• Ensuring proper and timely order and shipping processing.
• Customer acquisition, visits and support.
• Complaint processing and sales correspondence.
• Order and shipping processing of complete order, also for third countries.
• Create calculations, statistics and offers.
• Provide a weekly report on business activities (including sales performance versus budget) and the market environment.
• Provide visit reports & all relevant feedback in CRM.
• Analysis of customer, competitor and market trends and demand structure in defined area.


Ideal Profile:

• A university commercial / technical degree and professional sales experience of more than 3 years.
• Working experience of more than 5 years in trading or distribution company as a Chemical trader, especially Methyl Methacrylate (MMA).
• Working experiences related to Monomer and Organic Chemicals.
• Fluent in German and English languages.
• MS Office skills.
• Willingness to travel and an independent, goal-oriented and systematic way of working.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills across cultures.
