FRANCE| Summary: Responsible for effectively managing the direct selling efforts and the achievement of planned sales, revenue and profit goals and objectives within his area. Your Tasks: • To develop strategies for continued growth consistent with the overall objectives of the organisation. • To visit customers frequently. • To conduct routine customer meetings as needed. • To submit routine reports (monthly summary of activities, call reports, expense reports, etc.). • To have intimate knowledge of the market: competition, products needed, service required. • To develop budgets and business plans for the area. • Develop yearly sales goals, objectives and specific strategies and plans to meet and/or exceed those goals. • Review with the Sales Manager France on a monthly basis the actual sales and expenses versus the budget to identify problem areas; recommend and implement corrective action when necessary. • Arrange visits to customers with the Sales Manager as required to secure the accounts. • Call on potential accounts to ensure the continued growth of the company. • Personally visit and maintain telephone contact with all assigned customers as deemed appropriate and necessary. • Select and recommend training programs in order to continually improve personal knowledge of the latest sales techniques, improve technical knowledge and product knowledge. • Provide revised sales forecasts as requested by the Sales Manager. • Develop action plans resulting in the achievement of the budget objectives, and review monthly, or more often if required, to determine actual progress against plan. • Manage pricing policies established by the VP Sales Europe and maintain special pricing within these guidelines according to product, quantity and customer considerations. • Monitor travel and entertainment expenses and recommend more cost-effective use of air travel, automobile rental, entertainment, telephone, meals, supplies, etc., when appropriate. • Advise corporate management of industry trends, current resin pricing, competitive activity and all other pertinent intelligence. Your Profile: • Preferably degreed in chemistry or marketing having experience in the plastics industry with practical knowledge of the masterbatch industry. • Good knowledge of spoken and written English and French. Knowledge of other European languages desirable. • Self-motivated team builder with an out-going dynamic personality, a proven track record in sales; good organizational skills; a persevering challenge seeker; creative and flexible. |
